Genting Highlands

We were in Genting over the weekend, as KESUKAS decided to hold its general meeting there. Imagine, there were some 250 familiar faces milling about playing games all over. And best of all, Aduk, Ila n Dhia decided to tag along. It was fun...... and of course, tiring! We arrives a few minutes before 11, and decided to head for the games straight away.

need to exercise

I haven't been feeling well these past 2 weeks, starting with quite a high blood pressure last week- the reading was 168/98. Then, this week, my sinus acted up... hm, I think I now need to go back to exercising. I need to lose some 5-6 kg (10% of my weight!) in order to improve my health... all for my darling babies... I wanna be around for a long, long time more..! Watch them grow up, InsyaAllah...

Lat Sat, I managed to jog 1/2 round at the Sek 7's pond's jogging path, and walked 2 1/2 round. My kids were there as well. Since then, my attempts were hampered by the rainy weather.
So, today, I announced my intention in the FB, and friends (they weren't aware of my condition, though) egged me on. However, Aisyah woke late, and the Papa also stayed late in bed. Thus, in the evening, I forced myself to switch on Kathy Smith's dancing exercise, and d.a.n.c.e.d to it... ha,ha, it's been more than a year.. but it felt good! I sweated buckets, and was quite fresh soon after! Hm, must push myself to do it more often!

Now I'm watching some sports on TV, Chong Wei won the Swiss Open...in straight sets! finally, after almost 2 years a losing streak against Lin Dan... he did it! And what a beautiful game they played!

And now, we're switching back n forth btwn the doubles game of Kien Kiat- Boon heong and the Chelsea game. Last nite, it was quite awesome watching the Reds demolish MU 4-1 at Old Trafford. And later, even thou we were too sleepy to watch, found out that Arsenal won 4-0. Hm, time to sleep I guess... need to wake up early to prepare breakfast, and then got to take a run around the tasik... hope the sky stays beautiful 2mrw...

stay-home!

This morning, when I was about to charge my phone, I saw 3 sms - 1 each from hubby, Mimi, n Ayu Taska- course, I had to check the most imp one- Ayu's. And I was speechless for a moment. 2 kids at the Taska are down from foot-mouth disease/coxsackie. Hm, my girl, Aisyah, is down with a slight fever.. hence, no choice but to stay home today, since Pop & Mom have to go to PPUM today...

Bahasa jiwa bangsa

"... it is important that every effort should be made to provide education in the mother tongue. ...On educational grounds we recommend that the use of the mother tongue be extended to as late a stage in education as possible. In particular, pupils should begin their schooling through the medium of the mother tongue, because they understand it best and because to begin their school life in the mother tongue will make the break between home and school as small as possible".

my 2 cents

Gosh, I have not blogged for some time... not that there's not much happening, in fact, there's too much happening on Msian soil this past month- to the point of being ridiculous... Ok, I'll just recap here - I might even miss out some stuff..

First, there's the Perak saga, and, Eli Wong's scandal, Khalid cars n cow episode, then, the backlash (padan muka!) to KT- the Mekah apartments & LHDN non-declaration.. Phew, and, surprise, 2, no make that three (2 deaths, 1 resignation) in Bukit Gantang (in Perak), Bukit Selambau, Kedah, and Batang Ai in Swak, in quick succession... The Eli Wong case somehow dragged Bukit Lanjan into the picture, prompting some witty blogger to announce, "p'raya 3 Bukit 1 Batang"... talk about ludicrity!

In the midst of it, there's the 3-dumb-dumber-dumbest debat, the use of Allah in a non-Muslim publication, the yo-yo toll rate, the Kugan post-mortem, Sirul Azhar's denial (of Altantunya murder trial, of course), Sai-fool's saman, Anwar's case... n all amidst the dreadful economic downturn! And oh, suddenly, Syabas didn't want to sell to Sgor... what??? Just a couple of days ago, two guys want to postpone the UMNO assembly... Gosh, someone, please call somebody to stop the roller coaster ride, I need to get off!!! But funny, in all these news, where's mat-sumpah-enam-kotak Ezam, yeah?

And.. this is sthg I have to elaborate on... 3/3/09 was the day when the Perak DUN assembly had to be held under a tree - can you believe it? A tree? Why? Cos the building was cordoned off... By whom? The idiot %$#@@, that's who@!

What are we, a nation going backward? To heck with what others might say, the tree has now become a true symbol of a people being bulldozed by the powers-that-be... No wonder my parents do not want to watch the news these days...and to those who were BLIND and DEAF, now's the time to wake up from your deep slumber!!! enuff said!
